Who we look for...

 

To work for Pawlkies you will need to be a committed, responsible and reliable pet lover, who is presentable with good communication skills.

 

You must love dogs and enjoy working outdoors, in all weathers. At times, you will get dirty, wet, cold and/or muddy and may stay this way the whole day so please bear this in mind when applying. Previous experience of working with animals is not essential however is always very helpful, training will be provided to all successful applicants.

About this Role

 

We are always looking for reliable and responsible dog walkers who are confident in looking after dogs, either professionally or from personal experience.

 

Typical duties would include walking 3 to 5 dogs at any one time, both on and off lead so will need good control and confidence of the animals, usually 60min dog walks. This role would also include looking after pets in customers homes for 30-60mins where you will feed, play and let the dogs out for toilet breaks.

 

You will need to be active, a good time keeper and most importantly, calm, yet authoritative and in control of the animals in your care. 

 

You must be over the age of 21, hold a full UK driving license (van and fuel will be provided) and no criminal record

If you would be interseted in earning money working from your own home, working with dogs, this may well be the ideal opportunity for you. We are looking for families across Dorset to join the Pawlkies Home Boarding Network and enjoy the immensly reqwarding role of providing a holiday home for our customers pooches. 

 

This is a great way to have all the lovely benefits of enjoying the company of a dog when maybe you dont feel you are able to commit full time to owning your own dog for various reasons. 

 

You can choose to work as little or as often as you like and even the type/size and numbers of dogs you are willing to care for at any one time.
